So I received my filter, installed the magnets, and immediately put it to good use topping off my 9L tank.
I don't know if I can find the words to describe this thing accurately, but it is BEEFY!!! The wall thickness is so much greater than the competition filters that it defies belief. The HEFT of this shorter filter just lets you know it will stand the test of time and pressure. It has a PMV valve which doesn't allow air to flow from the outlet until approximately 2,000 psi. (I am going to add a male Foster check valve to the bottom to allow the filter/line/tank to maintain pressure while allowing the compressor to drain to zero, facilitating a zero-pressure ramp up if I need to shut the compressor off mid-fill)
I am VERY pleased with this filter, and want to thank GX for making such a quality product for the PCP hobby!! The magnets make it so easy to mount on the side of the case, or any other metal surface.
This is a high quality pcp air filter & water separator! I have been searching for a high quality, well designed water separator air filter for my very expensive pcp airguns and based upon the YouTube video review, i bought this one. One major design difference from other filters is this one collects that last 5% of moisture escaping your compressor which is then removed via a bleed screw after each use and therefore, eliminating any moisture into your favorite pcp airgun…SWEET! It is robust, works very well and the included magnets makes it super easy to mount to my compressor without drilling holes! It uses a cartridge, charcoal & double felt filter which is easy to change, and i also received same-day email response from the manufacturer so it appears that there is great product support! If you’re looking for the latest and greatest designed pcp water-separator air filter for your expensive pcps, look no further!
